how dogs, cats, goats, horses, animals like that need their mothers to survive. but a chicken can hatch be taken away from its mother just hours old and be okay by itself the rest of its life. it amazes me so much how these tiny little creatures can be so independant. anyway i just wanted to say how much i love these little guys lol. anyone ever just sit and think about this. i just hit me thought ide share it.

Yes, it is amazing, and to think that three weeks before they were barely an egg with nothing in it but egg.

Imagine receiving a..... goat in the mail...

All our chickens have been bought as week-olds, they all grew up without a hen.
And it's weird, other animals take to looking at their human carers as like a "parent", chickens don't.
