Isn't It Too Early For Eggs?

My girls have been laying for a couple months. I have sold some fertile eggs, I have eaten some and I just put about 13 under 2 banty girls. Now it's a waiting game. I had to catch them and pen them up. They were laying all over the place. I still have 3 that I have to catch and pen up.

Got my first egg yesterday from my girls, hatched around last June or July. Hard to believe, as winter is sticking around here. Has only gone above 50 once or twice.

Hello all you guinea keepers, or I should say all you who are kept by guineas lol.. I am in orth Ga and I have not seen a guinea egg one. All my hens were taken while I was out trucking last year by coyotes, my help did not understand the concept of finding the eggs so the hens would not set nests. They went to set them and were left when males came to barn to roost. Hens, eggs.. all gone. I have new hens this year, hatched last June, July. Maybe they don't get it yet. Just let some of them out to free range with older males, that should get things going, just worried about loosing them too..

Do you coop or pen them at night?
