I am looking to add a few barred hens to my laying flock so that I can hatch my own sex-links. I need a breed that doesn't lay brown eggs as I would like to be able to easily tell them apart from my buckeye (and other brown egg layers from my laying flock) eggs. I would prefer cuckoo marans, but olive eggers or easter eggers would work too. I won't be able to hatch until this spring, but I am interested in making contacts now so that I can plan my hatches for 2014.

I have Cuckoo marans, Barred Easter Eggers and Barred Olive Eggers..... Spring would work great. My cuckoos are kinda on vaction. I only get a few Barred Olive Eggers. All my Super Blue Egg layers from my CCL pen are barred.... cute too. Little crests and blue and black are possible. White chicks are possible too since the hens are WL. I may add my Excheuqer crosses back in that pen in the spring for more color chicks. If you want to check with me I can give you more specifics on the EE or Olive Egger crosses. The cuckoos will not change. I have a Cuckoo Roo x Blue Cuckoo Hens. They are HUGE birds too.
