Hi there everyone! I was hoping you all might be of some help in my quest for ducks. While I'm not looking for them right NOW, I am hoping to find more information. First, I have three breeds picked out, Cayuga, Khaki Campbell, and Welsh Harlequin. The local places here carry mostly Pekin, a couple other breeds, and only one of the ones I would like, and that's only if they happen to have them at that point in time. I also haven't asked around on the Facebook groups (yet!), just because a lot of people selling eggs or chicks had said they wouldn't be around Easter time. I definitely understand why! Second, I would much rather have hatching eggs over ducklings, but I'm not too terribly picky about this.

I have found a couple hatcheries and websites that sell a couple, sometimes all, of the breeds I want, I just hope to find the best deal..? Quality and quantity here, I only want to have 5-6 ducks altogether, but the amounts you have to buy, or the extra charges for ordering much smaller amounts is just crazy to me. So far the smallest amount of hatching eggs I've been able to find that I can get is 12, which is fine. That is through purelypoultry.com, and the total price would come to $64.44, free shipping, and unsure about taxes.

I'm not concerned with Purely Poultry going through other hatcheries or anything like that, as I've read somewhere, my concern is am I even getting a good deal going through them, is it more expensive to go through them, is the quality anything to be concerned about? I've done the math on a couple other places I've found, and the eggs are more expensive going through Purely Poultry, however, I can get ALL the breeds I want, AND I don't have to order and insanely massive amount of eggs.

So any thoughts, tips, opinions? I would greatly appreciate it!
