My heart is broken because after starting with 3 silkies I am down to 1. The first loss occurred 2 yrs ago and then last week she lost her companion to a predator. She is traumatized and lonely. She is in the care of my mom in Colorado and I am not in a position to get more chickens for her, so I need to find a home for her. She is the sweetest and has been a pet. She will be 4 in December and is still laying eggs.

Hi, this is a few weeks ago that you posted this now, but was wondering where in Colorado your mom's silkie was and if you found a home for her?

Hi, thank you for responding. I have a solution in Texas, so I will need to go get our girl and bring her to me. My mom is near Castle Rock. I would be open to a solution in Colorado, because it would be less stress on poor Rey.

We'd be happy to give her a home and be her Colorado solution. We have a little Polish rooster needing a buddy and our goal is to rescue where possible. We're based about 15minutes west of Littleton towards Conifer and would love to have her if you'd be open to that.
