I'm looking to buy chicks or eggs near Kentucky. Anyone helps me out?

I would advise against purchasing eggs or chicks under 3 months old. Pea eggs are very sensitive and even something as short as a car ride can damage them to the point where they won't hatch. With the chicks there is often a bottleneck during those first couple weeks.

We don't sell eggs either and chicks only after they are at least two weeks. Everyone wants the early eggs but don't know that most of the early eggs are clears. Shipping is hard on pea eggs and they become dislodged easily and die early in the incubator.

Peas are much more difficult than chickens and turkeys to hatch and when someone spends so much money on expensive pea eggs and only get 20% hatch rate it just isn't fair to the buyer. It really is best to spend a little more money and get the color, pattern, and sex you really want.

I just started with peafowl a couple of months ago.I got black shoulder pair and IB pair .I am really getting fond of them and looking forward to introduce some new colour to my pen.A local seller agreed to sell me chicks after a month or 2 from now but the problem is I haven't got a large pen.I haven't asked my father for another pen yet may be he will agree.But some questions still remain.
1.Do peacocks kill or harm the chicks which aren't theirs(if not i can introduce them to my existing pen)?
2.Which coloirs are better ro start with white,cameo,green or some others(the man i am getting them from has many varities)?
3.At which age should i buy chicks?
Any help would be appreciated plz share your experience with me I am eager to learn.

A female will peck at a chick that isn't hers sometimes. Color wise it doesn't make a huge difference but if you are able to see the birds before buying I would go for the birds that have longer legs and more slim bodies. There are alot of backyard breeders who don't try to breed for quality. As for age when it comes to buying chicks the older the better. I personally don't buy any birds under 3 months though I prefer 6 month or older birds.
