Hello! I just lost a whole incubator of valley eggs, totally unfertile from the start, the seller said there was no guarantee. I am looking for a few chicks, 10 at most, 5ish preferably to raise. Shipped to western new york.

Shipped eggs generally have a hatch rate of about 50%. Did they look really messed up when you candled them first? Bad air sacs and all that? Because unless (and even if) someone just picked up the box and shook it really hard, some of them should have at least started to develop.

Also, fertility and growth are different. Fertility is "this egg was fertilized by a rooster and, if put in ideal conditions, this would grow into a chick". If an egg didn't grow, either something happened to make it not grow, or it was never fertile in the first place.
