ISO: your "funky chicken" mutt eggs

My kids are already asking for some more chicken eggs to hatch. Clearly we don't need show quality eggs, and would love some of your mixed breeds to hatch.
Their only requirement is "funky" looking. Silkie, Phoenix, polish, whatever. (Doesn't have to be those breeds, those are just the ones I know off the top of my head)

We're looking at buying probably two dozen eggs depending on price. Looking to buy probably mid Feb. When mine are a bit older, possibly earlier.

Check out your local chicken groups on Facebook. That's where I got my hatching eggs from. I bought two dozen and she brought five extra just in case of breakage during the trip.

Mine could be any mix of Speckled Sussex, BBS Copper Marans, Ameraucanas, Olive Eggers, EEs, Leghorns, Red Sexlink and Salmon Faverolles.


My girls aren't laying yet, but I hope to get a nice variety of eggs soon!

I might. We currently are in a really cold spell (-20F) and don't know when it will end.

MyPetChicken has the 'Fun and Funky' egg collection. We got 14 eggs from her and 11 hatched. We have the oddest assortment of chickens now! I love them.

Ok, good news, I'd like to apologize for the late reply. My eggs are fertile! I've checked them for about 2 weeks after he'd been fully integrated with my ladies. Sorry for the wait I just wanted to ensure I wasn't giving you any doozy eggs because my boy was a bit young and inexperienced. So I've already collected 4 yesterday and I should be able to ship soon if you'd like them. I'll probably only be able to do a dozen or a little over. If you still need eggs my email is [email protected] and we can discuss shpiping and such. Honestly I'm just honored someone wants my eggs so if you still want them you're welcome to them for the cost of shipping.
