Good afternoon
I am based in the UK and just about to add some Brahmas to my collection.
I would like to ask 3 things
Firstly is Isobella a recognised colour and second if I breed isobella to isobella will they produce only isobella sorry for all the isobellas
Thirdly do Brahmas need a roost bar I have heard mixed things

I wish I had your answer but sadly I don't. There are a vast amount of threads in BYC hopefully in time you will come across people here that will know as well as the breeder you purchase them from

Hi Geoff and welcome to BYC We're so happy you've decided to join us

I had Isabella leghorns to start. I'm horrible with genetics, but if memory serves I was able to get 3 generations of the Isabella coloring without color leakage. Then I was told to bring in a dark brown leghorn, after which I'd get half Isabella and half DB, cull the DBs and do that for a few generations to strengthen the Isabella genes. It got too complicated for me, so I sold them.
