Issues with a laying turkey

As at today, my turkey hen have laid 12 eggs. She began sitting when she laid her ninth egg but have been dropping eggs ever since. I don't know if it's normal to be laying and sitting. I also don't know what's happening to her eggs, I first found out that one egg broke and another cracked I was sure she must have stepped on them. But again just today I noticed another egg have broken but found the shell outside the pen. Please any guru around to enlighten me on this. She is currently sitting on 7 eggs now including the one she laid today.

Is the tom mating her on the nest ?

You need to keep the tom from having access to the hen's nest. He will take her sitting on the nest as an invitation to breed. She will resist the unwanted breeding attempts. Broken eggs are the least of your worries. He may also injure or even kill her.
