She is constantly crying out... I first assumed that she. Was lonely because she was the only chick. So we bought a new one for her to socialize with. She still cries... And wants to be held at all times. And when I hold her with her head down she shakes her head as if siezing.

Why are you holding it with its head down?
How old is the chick? How are you brooding?

She might have imprinted on you, but she might also be ill. Last chick I had that cried constantly had failure to thrive and passed away 5 days after we brought her home.

Do you have a warm brooder for them? Perhaps she wants to be held because she's cold and you are warm. Hence her "shivering" rather than siezing. They need to be kept at 95f in their first days of life. Then the temp needs to be dropped in tiny increments over several weeks.
Chicks will constantly cry if they are cold.
