It’s back…

We generally have black bears roam the neighborhood after dark but have been having some more bold bears start earlier. I found some bear scat outside the fence and lilac wall of the chicken run.

The coop is very sturdy but I’d like to get an electric fence. Any suggestions for an energizer? We have a Walmart/Murdoch’s/etc here locally. I’d feel bad if the bear had to get relocated or worse because of my coop/run.

If it pops up on trail cam I’ll post photos. Supposed to be a brown phase black bear, but we have grizzly bears moving closer to where we are (within a few miles). We won’t know till we see photos! Just a little one (80-100lbs according to a neighbor) but I’d still not like to meet it or have problems with the chickens and garden.

Lots of articles on electric fencing. I'm not too familiar with electric fences. Try doing a search.
If you put "electric fence questions" in your title, I'm sure you would get more information.
