One of our hatches we had one that stopped developing pretty far into incubation and I couldn’t just throw it away, I felt like it needed to be buried. Our dang dog found it luckily I haven’t had to bury one since.I agree with the 'when in doubt, throw them out'.
Don't know if you have an area where you can safely toss or bury them. Could be found by predators, like fox, who would return looking for more.
Another alternative is to put them in a sealed plastic bag, then put that into the freezer until garbage day.
These two eggs from today I put them in a ziplock and then in a cardboard box, garbage day is early tomorrow morning luckily. Thanks for the tip about the freezer, hadn’t thought of that.
