Just introducing myself. I’m a PNW chicken tender. My mom has had chickens for over 5 years now. I got chickens March of 2022. 1 Roo and 6 hens. December 10th a dog killed 4 of my hens. Leaving me with my Roo and one hen. Just ordered my new chicks for this coming spring to “rebuild” my flock and I’m so excited I could cry. (Fence is being raised another 6 feet for protection)

Sorry about your hens. I know from first-hand experience how terrible it is to lose chickens -- especially your first ones -- to a predator. But, it sounds like you have taken precautions that will help keep your new babies safer.
