It crows and mounts but there's none of the "foam poop"??

Yep, the title pretty much sums it up. My male quail crows and mounts the other hens like there's no tomorrow but i haven't been finding any of that foam y'all talk about. Another "she" in drag?

Hmm.. I'm not sure about age, the guy at the store just said "Yup, it's a girl, she should start laying in about 1 or 2 weeks"

(so I'm not going to trust his advice lol) however they are getting the required amount of light in a day (8 i think?)...

NICE looking Tuxedo . Yah , they need 12 - 14 hours of light. i use clear LED Christmas tree lights .they are not expensive to purchase or to run and do the job of supplying sufficient light.

How many hens? If he is doing a lot of breeding he won't have as much foam. (using it all up so to say)
