I recentely posted about getting a duckling another duckling for one that had died in transport. That one died in my hands as as I was getting on the forum to post about its lethargic movement. It was fine 2 hours ago but it jsut died:( Would this have something to do with the fact that it took them 4 days to get here?

I am sure 4 days would take out a weaker duckling. They do not need to eat for 3 days after hatching but 4 days is indeed a lot for a baby.

There are babies the just do not thrive as chicks....but I would attribute it more to the 4 days in transit

I also had a little duckling die in my hands. He lived for almost a week and startd having seizures one day. We rushed him to a vet, but they couldn't do anything for him. I just held him in my hands talking to him until his heart stopped beating.
