They hatched the first week of May right before Mother's day and my birthday.

I wasn't sure how the hatch would go since I was in the hospital for 4 days and my sister didn't really understand how to add water and such but 2 hatched out of the blue--both hens and 4 hatched from the buff all roos! (dag nab it... i wanted a pair)....and 3 ee's from bluey. oh and 2 mutts of mine bared rock/delaware and one silver laced wyn./delaware. and then I got 3 more ee chicks from the tractor implement store. so 14 babies all together I have added to my flock.

but i'd really like more blues...especially a roo to go along with them and some buff hens to go along with my roo (i'll have to rehome three roos--but that's easy enough.).

and yes.... those girls are BIG!!!! And they are soooo pretty and fluffy and makes ya just wanna snuggle.

now that i rehomed the big roos i had (2 mean delawares and 3 red stars) i put my flock together and my 2 little girls can go in the pen now and play (little ava with her tractors and trucks) and hold chickens all they want. the neighbor boys on the other side of our privacy fence are handing bugs through the slots for the chickens.

it is pretty cute and funny... then they tell Zoe which one they want to pet so she goes and picks that one up and they get a pet from the boys.

I know... she sounds like my sister when we were kids and she'd guard one of her items.
