I got all excited when my husband planned on putting in a block wall around the house (we have a wooden fence now)... But, it was twice what he planned on spending at the moment. Since he knows for sure he is losing his job in the next few months the fence project is now on hold.
Any how I was excited because I thought of all kinds of uses for the old wooden fence! Like enlarging the chicken run!
So, since we are now on a strict austerity program... I looked around the yard and thought about how I could make more room for the chickens without spending any money.
I took one of my old chicken tractors I am not really using and moved it next to my existing run area. I plan to cut an opening between the tractor and the run so they can go back and forth.
I have lots yet to do to pretty it up... but here it is so far..
