It is ok to put Quikrete Play Sand in the coop?

Whats wrong with it again? Its a dust warning. Infact any airborn dust will cause the same effects. Its sand for children to play in. Unless you are going to dry it out , fill a room with it and turn a leaf blower on 24 hrs a day I wouldnt worry too much

I actually did that for my girls this winter - used one of those shallow under-bed storage bins and filled it with play sand and they LOVED it. I figure if i'd let my kids play in it, its more than OK for my chickens. Go for it, i'd say

I put in it. A bunch of them started eating it and then one claimed the box and started dust bathing. Now, she's kicked most of it out into the shavings.

My DH built ours like a kid sized sandbox in their run out of 2x6's. I went shopping and came home to a big sandbox, forget how many bags of sand he bought. But they love it and everyday, except for when it rains, they are out in it. They do eat it too. I figure it acts like the grit they look for.
