The black chest feathers give it away in Dark Brahmas

Oh, I thought it was two pics of the same bird. Both are cockerels. With dark Brahmas, males and females have separate color patterns, which is why it is easy to tell their sex early. Only males will have solid black feathers coming in a the breast.
