Earlier this year (Spring sometime, I suppose), my husband and I began raising quail. We bought a batch of eggs, incubated them, and tucked our birds into the coziest of pens. It's barely fall now, and we might have 100 birds, though I've given up trying to count.
We haven't bought eggs at the store in months, and I'm nearly comfortable completely halting meat purchases, too.
I've consulted BYC many times just through Google inquiry, but I finally found a reason to post. Now that we're really going with these birds, I imagine I'll value having a board of consults.
