I had a four week old runt chick that after 4 weeks, got splayed legs!!!! I had been giving her chick starter and vitamin water all along, then switched everyone over to regular water with ACV in it. This also was THE only pullet in a hatch with 5 chicks, 4 roos and her. I really needed to get her better, so I of course came on here and checked out the remedies everyone had, as poly vi sol without iron. I ran to the local drugstore (well, 3 of them) and found it for $9 AND buy one get one free. Today is day three, and she is now able to stand up on her own and walk! So, it does work. Just chalk one up to another item to keep in the first aid kit for chickens!

i just bought some polivisol for my chick like that:) i hope it works

Look At Your Polyvisol (without Iron) Most Has Ferrous Sulfate In It As A Preservative Which Is Iron. I Don't Know If It Is Enough To Matter But It Is Iron.
