Ok, the last few days my husband and I have been going out after dark to swap our chickens around to the right pen after they go roost... We have 3 pens, and when I've let all 3 pens out at the same time to free range, they sometimes get confused as to what pen to roost in, since I know the next day will be a pain to swap them we do it at night...Anyway, We come back in the house and we are itching, thought it was our imagination at first but after researching a little, wondering if it could be Chicken mites...All of my birds look healthy, with the exception of a peacock with a turkey neck, all the feathers are gone around the neck, I thought it might have mites and have tried to doctor it..... Any suggestions???

i was wondering, when you itch are there welps like a mesqeto bite ? if not your chickens might be getting into some fiberglass insulation. mice and other critters can find a way into the house and carry it back out with them. then the chickens stop by and dust themself's, then carry it back to the coop. then when you interact with them you get it on yourselfs. just a possibility
