I'm asking for your advice again as you were so knowledgable helping myself and my daughter assist our two babies in the early hours(uk time) 3 days ago. One of them had the umbilical still attached and looked very sick but it perked up no end and has been running round the brooder , eating and drinking and generally having a fabulous time with his/her sibling , but it won't stop itching itself all the time . I read on this forum that a warm bath may help , but I'm worried about the unbillical wound ? Would it be itching that because it's healing , or will it be healed ( ducklings will be 4 days old in the early hours of tomorrow morn) . I'm worried it will pick up an infection if I offer it a bath . What are your thoughts on Presley's itchy tummy ?

So wriggly , didn't want to poke around in his duck down !

Looks fine to me!

Letting them get a very shallow, warm bath in a warm room should be fine... just make sure to dry them off after and keep it warm so they don't chill... towel off and if you have a hair dryer you can set on Low *Only* works well...
