Right now the digital thermometer in the shade on my back porch says 102. I am worried about the chickens.

I have a fan going, it's 100 in the chicken house, but lots of ventilation, 2 windows and 2 open people size doors. But absolutely NO BREEZE OUTSIDE.

AT WHAT TEMPERATURE WILL THEY DIE??

I have some ice bottles in shavings in the coop and some of them do stand on them.

Jeez, Oklahoma in the summertime. YUK.

Well here in NY it looks like rain again! Temp about 73. To bad we couldn't add the two and split it. It' doesn't stop raining long enough to dry out. My garden looks like crap. I just cut the grass again cause ya never know when you''ll get the chance again. Oh and the skeeters are terrible.

It's 118 at 2:09 p.m. here in hell, I mean Yuma, AZ.

Yesterday, at 5:30 p.m., it was 120 degrees.

Boy, I remember 103. I remember running through the yard with flowers in my hair, organdy dress ruffling in the breeze, sweet music playing.

Now, life is a port-a-potty.

It's 106 here (Tucson) right now (2:13 in the afternoon) and I keep hopefully looking at the cloud build up over the eastern mountains in hopes we'll have a monsoon.

My MIL lost her Salmon Faverolle to the heat earlier this week.

I'm eight months preggy and have been warned to stay inside and A/C as much as possible...

Well it's flipping raining here again! and this morning I had to put the heating on......although I don't envy you those temps even if I do love the sunshine!....

Stay cool.............

I just heard on the news a few minutes ago, it was 130 someplace close to Phoenix. I can't imagine.

Down in the 60's here. Had to turn on the heat. Willing to share, if you want.

Well Hey English Chick,

I sure wish I was there with ya, I love the British Isles, did a house swap a few years back, stayed just outside London in Kings Langley, do love the Brits.

What time is it there?? Must be 1:00 am aren't you 7 hrs ahead of us??

DonnaBelle

PS: No, I didn't swap a place in OK for the UK, our house was in Florida that we swapped. Just so no one makes any smart remarks. HA.

Okay, not trying to be mean to you folks out in the southwest, but we have humidity along with high temps. to deal with.

I'll go ahead and keep the high temps. if you'll let me send you some of this mugginess.
