It's 99 degrees...

...with a heat index of 107. I've got seven tractors to move and nine waterers to refill plus the show bird hutch and several brooders needing their water refilled and some fresh bedding.

It's topped out between 98 to 102 degrees every day for more than ten days now. Even for Florida this is getting old...

At least we're not choking on smoke today, but that may not last if the wind shifts again.

I drove thru Ocala last week, and the thermometer at the bank read 106. I cant remember the last time Ive seen that.

I'm in southern Georgia. We've had the ridiculous heat and now the smoke too.

111 degrees here today and same for tomorrow, but we will cool off to 107 by Sat.

Our girls and roo handle it fine...

I wait until the very last second before dark to go out and do the evening chicken chores. Still come in dripping wet with sweat.

Ugh I feel you all. Its starting to really heat up out here in Riverside CA. RIDICULOUS. Cold, rain, and clouds I sure do miss you. Dont forget me!!
