It's a boy! New flock member :)

This is our newest flock member. He's come from a huge duck supplier, so he's a little nervous about so much space, grass, no competition, cats, dogs, kids, and the quiet, but I think he will be fine soon. He came out for the first time this morning and has been sticking to the 3 girls closely. The girls are absolutely unfazed so far.

Does anyone happen to know what colour this drake would be classified as? I tried to work it out on the ugly duckling site, but I'm just more confused now lol

I knew nothing about Muscovy ducks till I learned on BYC.. I used to think they were sick or had skin cancer!

He's an interesting color for sure. Looks both chocolate and blue. I wouldn't know how to classify it either.

I was thinking the same thing. Almost like he retained some of his juvenile coloring. That is why I asked about his age.
