Wellll, we ended up with 11 chicks! There was no longer any sign of life inside the last 2 eggs
The last chick that hatched needed a little help out of its shell( last one hatched Thursday around 4 pm- eggs started hatching tuesday) This chick seems kind of weak. It peeps plenty, but it's smaller than the others and very slow moving, when it does move, it's very wobbly. Eyes are a bit watery also. Momma was ready to stretch her legs today, so I made it to where she could take them down to the ground- in a secure enclosure. When I saw she was down, I went to see if they followed her down safely, and they had, all except one. He was just all alone up in the brooder
I brought him in and got him to drink some electrolyte water. Now he's making the rounds with me while I pick my kids up from school. Between 2 big dogs and a cat, I was afraid to leave him home alone. Do yall have any suggestions to help this 'runt' thrive?
