Tori, I'm thinking the same thing. I've got 14 of halo's blue barred rocks in the bator and we hit 28 this morning - the coldest I've ever seen it in October since we moved here 8 years ago! I want these babies but where in the world am I going to keep them??? Guess the garage will be a hatchery again!​

The heated garage. I'm taking a quick vacation to San Diego next week, and need to set up another smaller brooder for the chicks that will hatch 2 days after I leave.

Hubby's going to look after them for me.

LOL, its an addiction for sure. I bought one incubator, then had to get ANOTHER and now thinking about a 1588 Hovabator...

Tell me, Do your kids groan everytime you fire up the incubator? I wasn't going to do it untill spring either but then I thought, by Spring I could have these girls laying, If I wait it'll be August before I get thier eggs... and my kids just sigh again....

hey folks I know where ya'll r coming from, just place 28 more eggs in the bator yesterday , wife siad SHE HAD NO ROOM in the refrez. so I took out 28 and said how about now can you fit the rest which was about 3 doz more , she ask what you doing with them I told her you worry about these I take care of the rest she said ya right like we need more chickens laying eggs can't seem to sell the one's we have now so I told her ya better get selling -sell sell sell LOL
