I got a load of OEGB eggs from a man when I went to buy my Lemon Orpington eggs. Most of them were not fertile, but two are developing, and the abbreviations have me confused.

Does anyone know what YNOT and BAR would stand for on an OEGB egg? I have been giggling about the YNOT, cause, well, why not? But I would like to know what it is.

Yep, I know that part, but the YNOT has me completely confused. I checked every site I could find on OEGB but nothing starts with a Y at all. I guess I will let it hatch and then post pictures. *shrug*

There is a Barred oegb but I don't see anything even close to a YNOT. Even if I substitute Lemon for the Y-yellow. Good luck on the search.

I am starting to think the guy I bought these eggs off of is insane.

Hehehe! There were several in there labeled YNOT, just out of like, 18 eggs, maybe 10 were fertile so I only have 1 Why Not? Developing. It will hatch this coming week, I will get a picture of the mysterious Why not? And post it when it is all dry and fluffy.
