Lucille, our Cornish X, lays giant dinosaur eggs every now and then. It always amazes me how something that big can come from a chicken - even a really big chicken like Lucille.

I have one buff orp that lays Godzilla eggs. I keep saving the big ones she lays by drilling a small hole on either end and blowing out the insides (always double yolkers). The eggs got bigger and bigger - looked like we had an emu hidden in the coop or something! Lately though, the emu must have left cause I don't get the big eggs anymore.

but, like pixiechic says they probably made that girl's eyes water!

We have had large eggs before even XXL, but not like that one! The big ones have always had realy fat yolks, and I am sure this one is a double! YEAH!

Hmm, yummy

Our girl started laying last week, and her 6th egg was a double yolk. That is the best part. Man! Now I am craving eggs.
