I just ordered 3 Speckled Sussex, 2 Golden Laced Wyandottes, 2 Silver Laced Wyandottes, and I'm debating on getting one of those way cute Silkie bantams. That's close to 2.

Chicks don't count. Bantams only count for 1/2.

Lol we all know!! I was only going to have 6.... then I got 6 more, the 2 more... then I gave away 2... so a happy 12. Lol

Haa haaaaa! You aint seen nothing yet! I had over 200 chickens at one point in TN!

The silkies aren't in yet. I decided to get 3 of them and house them in the smaller coop/run. I figure one of them will probably be a roo. Oh, and that's not their brooder. That's a temporary shelter while they are at work. Their good brooder is at home. They will be at my work for 2 hours so I set up this box with a heater, food, and water to last them the 2 hours.

We have a name for that illness here on BYC it's called chicken math. Funny they never taught that in high school or in my community college, and I got an degree in accounting! perhaps that was in the statistical classes tho, you know the probability and such....
