I moved to Colorado City, Texas a year ago. I always had chickens as a child. I never had the opportunity or a place to keep them for over 20 years. I finally have the place that is big enough and out in the country. I have 8 Americauna chicks. They are about 3 to 4 weeks old. They have gotten a lot of their adult feathers now and not much fuzz is left. I have my fingers crossed that most of them will be hens! I am hoping for many eggs for the kitchen! Life is beginning to feel more like my childhood! (Other than having to go to work!)
