Thanks! The stain is Olympic Pilgrim Red (I think). And you're right, Home Depot doesn't carry the roofing panels. We found them at Lowes. They come in 12 and 8 ft sections and are 24 in wide. My husband bought them, but I think they were $25 or so for the 12 ft panels.
Excellent, I may be going this route for my coop to be's roof. So, thanks, very helpful!
Nice looking coop! And adorable babies, of course.
I have welsummers also and they are so mellow and happy. Mine are curious and very friendly. Plus their eggs are GORGEOUS! (I know marans are the "in" thing, but I think wellies are so much prettier.)
About roofing tin- if you have a local co-op you may be able to get it there too. Ours does 3' wide panels in a variety of colors for a little less than $2 a foot. They will even cut it to length. It is a little bit thicker than the Lowe's stuff too. Just another option.

Thank you very much! If the weather cooperates, we are going to work on it tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have more pics to post very soon! We'd like to get the hardware cloth up and the henhouse walls on.

Thanks! Do you know how you go about finding a local co-op? That sounds very interesting.
I found mine by driving by it.
You could try googling your area though. I live in Rutherford County, so I would google "Rutherford Country, TN farmers co-op". When you do that here it pops up all the local co-op branches. I don't know where in Ohio you are, but it is worth a try. I would think that there should be some around you. It's worth a try anyway.
