its day 23 and i candled the eggs and it has veins and the airsac

you will always see the air sac, did you see any movement? Veins are always a good sign, if they aren't really dark.

chicken egg? it's really late if so =/ assuming there aren't any pips, carefully float it in a deep bowl of warm water, and wait for the water to settle. it should float with a small bit of the egg above the surface. if the egg jiggles of its own accord, the baby is alive and doin' stuff in there. if the egg sinks, or floats reeeeally high with no movement, it's no good. if it's still alive, carefully blot it dry and put it back.

Ya the float test kinda works but 1 time the egg was kinda floatin but no movement of water or egg so i figurd it was dead so i opend it and it was alive i was like nooo but the funny thing it survived but don't want to do that agian

I've had chicks hatch 5 days late before.

I just had one hatch on day 23 and had to help the other out of its shell on day 25 after it peeped because my broody kept burying it in the shavings. The only way to tell if there alive is to look for movement seeing veins is a good thing.
