It's Day 27 And No Chicks Yet!

Um it's day 27 and no chicks have hatched. We have a banty rooster and plymouth rock hens so we thought they are fertile. Should we toss the eggs tomorrow?

At this point they probably aren't going to hatch. Either the temp or humidity were off in the incubator and you should calibrate your thermometer before trying again, or the bantam rooster wasn't able to successfully fertilize the large fowl hens. Sorry

Aww darn... I opened up the eggs and theres just yoke >.<

What should I do with the rest of the eggs

Well I know now that i'm going to get a NEW bigger rooster

Welcome! Candle those eggs; it's easy with a small bright flashlight in a dark room. I'd hate to open half developed rotten eggs, it's really smelly. If your bantam boy can't reach, you'll have to make other plans for eggs. Sorry, Mary
