It's going down to 35' tonite. Will the chicks be OK

I ahve a hen and four 2 day old chicks in the coop. It's going down to 35' tonight do I need to put the heater back in the coop or will she keep them warm enough all by herself?

id say they would be fine, they lay under her, but if your worried give them a heater. but think about if there was no human to take care of them.....shed have to warm them all by herself

You could put the heater in there to give mama a hand but she will take care of them babies all on her own.

We just had 2 nights of low 30's and upper 20's after several weeks of 50 plus night temps.
Put a propane heater in the coop, but could have likely gone without. Wanted to be better safe than sorry.
