I was so excited when we got our first egg about 2 weeks ago (hens were only 15.3 weeks old) and got to have that same feeling yesterday when I found a green egg from one of our Americanas on the ground in the chicken run. Think I will just blow it out and add to the collection of six eggs that I blowout to keep as trophies from this first round of excitement. Now I'm waiting for a white egg from the Brown Leghorns. Getting about 2-3 eggs per day now from our 10 hens

If she's like mine, you won't have long to wait for the second green egg to actually eat. They seem to be very proficient layers. Congrats!
