I was outside doing some of my animal chores (had just been in the coop/run looking for eggs 5 minutea before) and started hearing bauck back bauckkkkkk over and over so went back and the starlight green egger who had been laying in the bedding in the coop looking like could be sitting on an egg (had gone out to see if my australorp had layed any eggs today and she was in the same spot the australorp likes to have her eggs) I made her get up to see if an egg and wasn't one but when I was leaving she was going back and laying down. I went back in and found an egg. I assume that was the I layed an egg song. I was hoping for green eggs but this one was beige. I'm wondering if she could still have green eggs or just brown? When my australorp got close to laying she was already vocal so we didn't get the egg song from her. Also now that those two have layed eggs on the floor is it a loosing battle to get them to learn to do it in the nesting boxes? First pic is her egg and 2nd is it (red arrow) next to the 6 eggs from my australorp (had already given 18-20 eggs to my mother in law from the australorp)
