It's June and the chickens are not laying

My flock prefers crumble over pellets.
Try not to mix in treats with their feed otherwise the will only eat the treats. It's like eating dessert first and then not having any room for the good nutrients that your body needs to make eggs, feathers, and to have plenty of energy and a good weight.

I tried crumble a while back and they didn't eat that either. I have given them just the pellets before and I feel like they look at me as if to say, "What?! Are you kidding me?! You expect us to only eat this stuff?!" They sort of whimper and the Welsummers and the Cochin make these very loud whaling sort of sounds as if they are starving. I know, I'm a total sucker.
