Gah, I'm so excited I can't contain myself! Our 5 girls are arriving in the mail tomorrow and our house is aflutter. I have two sons ages 4 and 6, as well as 2 boy dogs and a husband, so I am happy to say that me plus the 5 girls is the beginning of a new era in our household - boys 5, girls 6! And although my husband is still insistent that the hens will not get a vote on our family matters, I wholeheartedly disagree. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time now ;)

Excited to join the community, excited for our girls to arrive, and excited to have new family members to blog about! Thank you, BYC, for all of the amazing resources you provide.

So excited for you, I totally understand the feeling and anticipation and I pick mine up at a local farm so I get to take mine home that day lol but I am still all excited and cant wait when my hubby hands me money and says go get your chickens lol,... I keep adding and adding but it is time for me to stop for the season. Cant wait to hatch my own babies next season.. Good luck with yours you will find sooooo much helpful tips, advice and personal opinions to get you more than on your way and thru whatever problem arrises on here...

Wow, thanks for the warm welcome guys :)

Today we should be getting an Easter Egger, a Buff Orpington, a Buff Brahma, a Salmon Faverolles, and a Barred Plymouth Rock. The kids are between summer school and the start of the regular school year now, so this is the perfect diversion. And I am so darned excited I might pop!!! This is a big deal guys...but you all know that already ;)
