Gah, I'm so excited I can't contain myself! Our 5 girls are arriving in the mail tomorrow and our house is aflutter. I have two sons ages 4 and 6, as well as 2 boy dogs and a husband, so I am happy to say that me plus the 5 girls is the beginning of a new era in our household - boys 5, girls 6! And although my husband is still insistent that the hens will not get a vote on our family matters, I wholeheartedly disagree. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time now

The girls arrived! The only issue I had was with the Salmon Faverolle who was pasted up. I cleaned her, and was a bit worried for a couple hours after since she is also a bit runty (adorable, feisty, and tiny compared to the other 4!). Good news is that she's now back to her sprightly little self after some time under the heat lamp cuddling with the rest of the girls. This is way too much fun

And LeslieDJoyce - I am praying my girls keep the score even - another boy in the house would really mess up my numbers here!!!

I am somewhat shocked to hear you say Easter Egger straight away. It is almost always called an Ameraucana by the feed stores, so you must have done your research!

We have girl power at our place too!

Aoxa, I wish I were calling her an Easter Egger because of research, but although I have done my share over the last few months, it is actually the seller that dubbed her EE as opposed to Ameraucana. Now I'm intrigued - going to check out some EE threads around here this morning!
