You do know if you WANT the girls to be broody that not a single one will help you out. I have eleventy billion silkies out there and not a single broody in the mix. Sigh. In August when it was too hot to brood and I had no eggs for them I was covered up with the determined little beasts. Come spring when I actually WANT chickies running about? NADA.
It's like cats. You know how they only are attracted to people that hate cats? Well, broodies are only broody for people that don't want them to be broody.
