No matter how much we don't want it to be true we have a roo.
My husband says it's my fault cause I gave it a boys name (Sheldon) Lol Anyway now I don't know what to do. We don't want more chickens. Does Sheldon need the same set up as my pullets? He will be maintained as a pet not a meat bird. I'm just in a panic because I don't know what to do. When do I need to seperate them? They are approximately 12-14 weeks old. Anyone and everyone please send some advise this way.

You won't have more chickens simply because you have a rooster. Fertile eggs are fine to eat, and they will not develop unless incubated.

Really?! We are new at chickens we have had them for 3 mo. OMG you just made my day. I dont care about eggs myself I don't eat them but my husband does. They are my beautiful babies! So what do I need to do and not to do?

Collect your eggs daily and all will be fine. How many hens do you have, and what breeds? Not all hens will try to incubate eggs.
