Planning to incubate some of the eggs in the incubator, but don't have the funds to buy the Sportsman type, so I am looking in to Havabator Genesis 1588. Does anyone have any experience with that one? If so how well did it go? How many eggs where you able to fit in? Thanks so much in advance

I have an older Hovabator 1590 with clear window and fan. As long as you can adjust the jumpers to the thermostat low enough( I can get mine down to 97 but not 96) and you have a fan, it should be fine. I don't use the water pan, just cut a plastic cup in half and then fill it 1/2 way to keep humidity at 33% or so. No turner, always turn by hand. I could probably fit 6-8 eggs in one. I hatched out a bunch of chicks last year.

I read that 1580 is preset for birds at 90F, but you could adjust it to lower temps. I never done this before and I haven't seen any eggs yet, but cant wait to have the experience with baby Emu.
