Its Time To NAME THAT EYE PROBLEM!!!Update: PG 11 bottom of Post #101

OK got the saline, put a few drops in all 5's eyes, and was wondering for tomorrow, do I put the Saline in then wait a few minutes then put the med drops or do I put them in back to back?

I would wait a few minutes, myself. Let them drain out and clean. Then use the ophthalmic ointment. I'm afraid if you did it too fast it would make a situation where the meds wouldn't really stay in.

You should PM dlhunicorn. She is great with this sort of thing. Seriously! PM her.
When it's something serious like that I always pull out the baytril and eye cream. But luckily no problems lately.
Good Luck and give dlhunicorn a howdy.

Thanks 3 horses. Yes, I would agree, wait a bit before applying the meds otherwise they would be a bit diluted. 10 min or so should be plenty of time. I am excited that only 5 chickens out of a large flock (of 130?) are showing symptoms and that there are no new cases. yeah!

Actually Zowie, its out of 80 or 90 but still...
