Joined BYC today after visiting a few times and enjoying everyone's comments and information.
I've wanted a few chickens /ducks for a while now but they are not allowed in the community. Although I have my share of birds, squirrels & ducks by default. Not to mention, for some reason people in the neighborhood have a tendency to bring me injured wildlife and stray animals.
I won't lie..I love it. My husband gets a little nervous though.
I'm hoping to learn from all the wonderful people on here so as to continue to help my furry and feathered friends.

Hello. It's sad that you can't have your own chickens, they are so great. You must have an aura of kindness which makes people bring you the stray and injured.

LOL! Thank you, Songster. There are two families that have chickens in our neighborhood. We all have 1 acre lots. No one says anything but I would be devastated if I had a few and then the county made me get rid of them.
I also want a pygmy goat. I told my husband if I attach a dog's tail to it and name it
Spot, then maybe no one would notice.
Oh well..I guess I'll keep to rescuing when needed.
