It's true! I despise cows but....

Ouch, 104

I sometimes get the neighbourhood birds drinking outta my chicken waterers too. Wouldn't have had a problem with it until a crow found the nest and stole some eggs. After that all newcomers got hosed or chased away

Gritty,
Show some of that southern hospitality, ya'll are famous for. I think you should offer them all large glasses of milk to quench their thirst. It's the right neighborly thing to do.

Oh, and by the way- here's a thought on what you could wear as your waitress uniform... so you don't scare them or anything.

It's the herd owners responsibility to take care of them. I have no idea what kind of set up he has for them in the big meadow. I've not walked down there since this heat wave started. I know he's having to feed them very early each morning. Two months of no measurable rain means no grass for them to graze. The big pond is almost an acre wide and last time we took a ride down there it was still at a good level.

They have a whole pond full of water, they just have to walk to get to it.

and thus the debate ends. Ask any sensibel CHICKEN or even human, such as me if we'd rather have quick water or water we'd have to walk to then you know your answer
