Hi everyone :)
first time posting here, welcome to my coop!
I've got 5 chickens
1 isa brown, 1 sussex, 1 plymouth barred - all pullets
2 silkies chickens

I live in Melbourne, Australia so it's currently winter and its been raining more than ever!
The second last picture i placed mulch & coarse sand... and now its basically bog.

Half of run does not have a cover and it has become so muddy, at least the girls aren't going in this section as they don't want to be in the rain.
I had an idea that this section would get wet but then the girls would walk through the dry run then into the dry hen house... drying off their feet as they went.

Now i basically have several muddy puddles in this section. How do i fix this!?

awesome, i thought more wood chips could be the way to go !
I've got perches, logs and miniature deck in the run but i'm not sure about adding more things to the ground as the girls love to scavenge ...

thanks for the french drain tip!
