(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I first got chickens 3 years ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have around 50 chickens
(3) What breeds do you have?
EE's, Australorps, Green Queens, 1 normal Silkie, 1 Satin Silkie, 1 Sizzle, 1 Salmon Favorelle, 1 GLW, 1 bantam SLW, 1 Welsummer, 1 Blue Birchen Marans, 1 BCM, 1 BR, 1 Cuckoo Marans, 3 Lavender Orps, 1 Blue Orp, 2 Cream Legbars, 1 EE Frizzle, 1 Black Andalusian, 2 Delawares, 1 Calico Princess, and a couple mixes (I think that's all, but I'll edit to add more if needed)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Your flock looking up to you and wanting to spend time with you.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Drawing, writing, and track
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We also have 2 chinchillas, 2 ferrets, 8 cats, 2 dogs (one is our LGD), 1 mutt rabbit, 4 english angora rabbits, 2 mini donkeys, 9 alpacas, 7 sheep, 1 ancient goat, 16 crazy guinea fowl, 2 mean African ganders, 12 ducks (6 were hatched by my pfp ThinMint. She had a 100% successful hatch rate), 4 peafowl (2 pairs), 8 11 week old chicks, 5 OEGB ("mini chickens"), and 8 eggs in our incubator. I'm trying to get some cream legbar offspring from our sweet hen Agnus who was killed by a hawk yesterday.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
While looking for ways to save our chickens when they got sick. I wanted to contribute to the community
